What this app collects — summary

This table mirrors, item for item, the Data safety declaration filed for this app in Google Play Console. If the two ever differ, the Play Console declaration is the one we correct.

Data typeCollectedShared with a third partyPurposeOptional?
User IDs
nickname and an opaque guest identifier

Yes Yes — to Google Advertising or marketing; fraud prevention, security and compliance No — collected whenever ads are shown

Nothing else is collected. The app does not ask for an email address, phone number, real name, password, date of birth, contacts, social login, profile picture or precise/GPS location. There is no public chat, private messaging, or user upload of images, audio or files in this release.

Solo mode

Solo can be played without the multiplayer backend and without a nickname. Gameplay progress, settings and functional statistics are stored locally on the device and are not transmitted. Advertising, described below, applies in Solo mode as it does elsewhere in the app.

Online Challenge

Online Challenge requires internet access and is optional. On first Online use, a player chooses a nickname and accepts the Online Terms and privacy notice. Our backend creates an opaque guest identifier and short-lived, revocable session credentials. It processes presence, challenges and invitations, and match state and results, as needed to operate multiplayer.

The nickname, the guest identifier and the country code are transmitted to and stored on our own backend, which runs on Cloudflare Workers as our infrastructure provider acting on our instructions. They are not sold, and are not shared with advertisers or any other third party.

The edge provider derives a two-letter country code from network connection metadata to display an approximate country flag. It may be inaccurate. The app does not request GPS or precise-location permission. Application code does not expose a raw IP address to other players; the infrastructure provider necessarily processes network metadata to provide HTTPS/WSS and abuse protection.

Blocks, reports and retention

Players can block or report visible nicknames using limited reason categories. Presence records and join requests expire quickly. Post-match object state is retained for 1 hour, moderation evidence for 90 days, and identity-deletion tombstones for 31 days.

Delete/reset Online identity

Settings includes Delete/Reset Online Identity. After an authenticated delete succeeds, local Online identity and session state are removed. Limited moderation evidence may remain for its disclosed retention period where needed for safety, abuse prevention or legal compliance.

Security and transport

All Online traffic uses HTTPS and WSS, so data is encrypted in transit. Backend signing and session secrets are held server-side only and are not shipped inside the app.

Advertising, the advertising ID, and your choices

لَمَّةُ الْمَعْرِفَةِ (Lammat Al-Ma'rifa) (com.novanest.maani) shows advertising through Google AdMob. Banner and interstitial ads are part of this release. This section is the disclosure Google requires of every publisher that uses its advertising SDKs, and it matches the Data safety declaration filed for this app in Play Console.

What is collected, and by whom

The Google Mobile Ads SDK inside the app collects data in order to serve and measure ads. It reads the Android advertising ID — a resettable identifier assigned by your device — and sends it with each ad request, together with coarse technical information such as device model, operating system version, language, and the IP address that every network request necessarily carries.

That identifier is used to select ads, limit how often you see the same one, measure performance, and detect fraudulent activity. It is sent to Google and shared with Google's advertising partners. We receive only aggregate reporting — how many ads were shown and what they earned. Those reports contain nothing that identifies any individual, and the advertising ID is never joined to your nickname or guest identifier.
